Power Moves (SNES) Playthrough – NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Kaneko’s 1993 versus fighting game for the Super Nintendo, Power Moves.

Played through on the default difficulty setting.

I quite like this game. It’s essentially Street Fighter for beginners – it plays perfectly well, it looks nice enough, and it’s got a limited number of special moves and super-simplified controls.

If you don’t require complexity in a fighter and sometimes enjoy mindlessly pressing buttons, give this one a try. Limited or not, it’s pretty fun.

No cheats were used during the recording of this video.

  2. As a kid in 7th or 8th grade I remember borrowing this game cartridge from another kid in afternoon class to carry it home but the girl that liked me back then took the game teasing me and stuck it in her panties, that's my memory of this game.

  3. When my cousin and I would be play this till 3am we had one rule: nobody could pick Gauluon because he was OP!!!!

  4. This was a pretty fun game when it came out. Most people just tossed it to the side because it wasn't SF2, or Mortal Kombat. Definitely a fun little game if you weren't expecting anything too deep.

  5. If you want a good, fun, really simple fighting game that doesn't require lots of complex special move controls, you'll love this.

It's like Street Fighter II with Olean – it may make for a good low-calorie alternative snack food, but if you don't have a fair tolerance, expect some anal leakage. Now, I realize that was a bit contrived of an analogy, but I wanted to say something amusing about Olean's side effects. Sue me 😛
